For all that know me, remember May 13, 2006 my daddy went to heaven mainly because it was God's will and due to complications from Lung Cancer.

I really think that there are only a few charities we should support and why:

1. Any cause for Christ
Missionaries that are through a fundamental mission board. Children's Ministries, Fundamental Bible College (let me tell you about a young lady that goes to Crown College or some outstanding young gentlemen that have gone or go to Florida Baptist College..
Everything that is listed as a cause for Christ isn't always what they say they are. CHECK THEM OUT FIRST!!!!!!!!

If you are unsure of which ones to give to check with your Pastor and he can advise you.

2. The American Cancer Society

Because so many people are stricken with cancer today. My family has had at least 6 people that have died with cancer. Heaven is filled with a lot of my church members that have died with cancer.
One day I will need to tell you about my friend Vera. She is a cancer survivor..
Or how about the young lady who thought she had ovarian cancer, went to Moffitt Cancer Center and had an operation and found out that very day she doesn't have cancer. Sure, many have succumbed to cancer, but how many have survived?

3. The American Diabetes Association

I have diabetes, my daughter, 2 uncles, my cousin, 2 aunts and how many more family members that do not know it.
My church has about 5 members that do not have diabetes.

4. Any Cause for Children
Well, how can we not give for children, for legitimate causes...
There are some out there that I wouldn't help because of their reputation. I cannot name them all but before you support a cause, check it out.

Our children will be the ones running the nursing homes (they may even have to put us in one), making legislation for the senior citizens, and raising tomorrow's leaders. Why not make sure that they are well- educated (spiritually and scholastically) and healthy to become a leader of the country. They may be the next Lee Robertson, Clarence Sexton, Bruce Turner, Jack Riffe, Marlena Evans, Loretta Riffe, Rita Vernoy, Pam Rios, Jackie McCobb, Tim Padgett, Sarah Padgett, John and Sara Anderson, Charles and LuRonn Shaw, or maybe even JoJo Moffitt or Grace Bowden (she is on her way to becoming such a Godly Woman and she is my daugther.

Or for those of you who do not know these people and what they stand for. How about Ronald Reagan or the Georges (Washington, Bush and Bush).

I'm done now. Back to work.
Please help support the cause.
